Brent Irvine
Rhythm Guitar & Vocals
Brent Irvine was born in Kamloops, B.C. and moved to Fairview AB. at 7 years of age. Along
with his brother and sister, he started a family band called The Sundowners at 12 years old, and
they played for different functions throughout his school years. This included recording a 45
RPM record at Damon Studios in Edmonton, and performing a half hour special on CFRN
television.
After a stint in the oil patch, Brent joined a band called Rainbow Country, and played many
years throughout the Peace Country and beyond. When this band dissolved, Brent and another
member formed the band Waterhole, and after several years playing local gigs, went on the
road full time. Waterhole played many venues in Canada and the US, including Cook County
Saloon and many others in Edmonton, The Ranchman's and The Rocking Horse in Calgary,
Gabby's and Boone County Saloon in Vancouver, just to name a few, and performed with the
likes of Radney Foster and The Good Brothers.
When Waterhole ended Brent joined up with three Fairview locals and started a band called The Barnyard Boys, which played for 9 years around the Peace region, after which Brent joined
Kikbak. During the past 10 years or so with Kikbak, Brent has written and recorded 9 original
songs that are available on all platforms where music is sold or streamed, and he is hoping that
there is no end to this dream that he is currently living.
